Gainesville, Fla. – October 28, 2009: In an effort to increase communication and collaboration with subscribers, the Bid Express service has established a new Subscriber Advisory Board.
The board is composed of eight Bid Express subscribers from different parts of the country and from firms of varying sizes. They will meet four times per year via teleconference to provide feedback on existing services, offer insight into new features, and to offer suggestions for improvement from the user’s perspective.
“While we often ask for feedback from subscribers on an ad hoc basis, establishing this board will formalize that process,” said Joe Phelan, vice president of sales and marketing for BidX.com. “Having the board will also allow us to get a variety of opinions due to the diversity of the board members in terms of company size and location.”
The board consists of members from Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia. While some members simply subscribe to the Bid Express Basic Service, others bid via the Internet with multiple agencies and subscribe to add-on services such as the On-line Plan Sheets service and Bid Tab Analysis service.
“We are anxious to begin speaking regularly with this group as we move towards our ultimate goal with this project being increasing customer satisfaction,” said Phelan.
The Bid Express service is in production use in more than 35 agencies in the U.S. providing sealed, secure Internet bidding, plus convenient add-on services. The Bid Express service is offered by BidX.com, an Info Tech company. Info Tech software is installed in 42 state departments of transportation, several hundred US cities and counties and two foreign countries, performing a wide range of functions from project estimation to contract administration to electronic bidding.
