ContactInfo Tech, Inc. Welcomes Orphans from Ukraine
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – July 10, 2006: With a little help from Info Tech and other area businesses, Friends of Our Orphanages made arrangements to host 11 children from Orphanage (KSSHI) #9 for three weeks in July, giving the children an opportunity to meet their host families and possible adoptive parents.
Pamela Barry, Business Manager for Info Tech and group supporter, says that “showing the children what is being done with computer technology in an American business environment will help them dream about possibilities for themselves.”
The children were interested in visiting American companies. They were welcomed with a tour of the Info Tech facilities and given gift bags and photos of their visit. The Florida Farm Bureau provided a hearty lunch in the cafeteria and other goodies for the gift bags.
According to their website, “Friends of Our Orphanages, Inc. currently is working to improve the conditions at Orphanage (KSSHI) #9 in the Ukraine. In the past four years we have made several trips to orphanage #9 and have many more planned.”
Friends of our Orphanages is a non-profit organization which provides aid and ongoing support to children of orphanages, one orphanage at a time, around the world, ensuring the safety and functionality of orphanage facilities, with the well-being of the children. Their focus is addressing and supporting the physical health needs of children of orphanages; creating an ongoing collaborative effort with directors of orphanages and governments to ensure the well-being of orphaned children; addressing and supporting the ongoing education of the children of orphanages including vocational opportunities; and addressing and support the development of recreation facilities and programs for children in orphanages.
