Info Tech, Inc. Recognized as Supportive Employer to Reserve Forces

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – June 1, 2004: In a recent ceremony, the Florida Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented an award to Info Tech, Inc. recognizing the company's efforts to go above and beyond routine compliance with the federal law requiring the granting excused absences for military service.

Of 951 nominees, Info Tech was one of 10 to receive a "Chairman's Above and Beyond Award." The award honors employers who have surpassed the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) within the state of Florida.

Marine Corps Reservist Maj. Jonathan Coombes nominated Info Tech and company President Dr. James T. McClave for the honor. In his nomination, Coombes wrote "Info Tech has always provided support for employees who serve in the military reserve. Info Tech went above and beyond what the law required and completely rewrote the company policy on military reserve participation when employees were recently called to active duty."

ESGR is a Department of Defense volunteer organization that provides free education, consultation and, if necessary, mediation for employers and Guard and Reserve employees. ESGR's goal is to support America's employers who have partnered with their guard and reserve member(s) for our national defense.
