Appia software

graphic: Appia logoThe Appia software is a web application designed for capital improvement and construction programs in cities, counties and other similarly sized agencies. The Appia construction management system effectively manages project cost estimation, proposal development, advertising, electronic/Internet bidding and/or construction management.

By providing these vital processes in a web environment, the Appia system offers a collaborative system that can be accessed by all project stakeholders – including funding sources. Agencies seeking an easy way to show transparency and accountability with projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) will find all of this and more in the Appia software.

The Appia software is the only application available to all agencies that interfaces with the Bid Express on-line bidding exchange for sealed, secure on-line bidding. Nearly 5000 bidders in the U.S. and Canada use the Bid Express service for Internet bidding. Agencies that implement the Bid Express service will see the value of their investment increase dramatically when the Appia software is also installed.

Appia construction allows you to easily manage all aspects of the construction cycle, including materials management, Inspectors' Daily Reports, pay estimates and change orders, while building a detailed data repository for project planning and bid item management.

Is your agency effectively analyzing bid results? To ensure you are getting the most for your construction dollars, the Appia system allows agencies to view bid history data to look for trends and patterns in the bids you receive. JTA’s goal was to develop an automated process that would allow them to use relevant historical bid prices to accurately predict expected future prices. Paperless construction management at Pate Transportation Partners

Pate Transportation Partners (PTP) needed a web-based solution that would increase communication and reduce their paper usage. The Appia system provided PTP with the reporting capabilities they required to comply with county projects. Inspectors are now able to electronically submit reports, which are then instantly available to management for immediate review and data reporting, saving time, improving accuracy and reducing paper use. PTP’s Director of Construction Services can log in and have access to the project’s data without having to travel to the various job sites around the state of Texas. The same applies to our partners. I can run any project status report for any of the projects in Appia, without having to call someone on the project to run that report.
