Hardware and Software for Client Computers Using a Stand-alone Database Connection Running FieldManager 4.4a, FieldBook 4.4a, and FieldBuilder 4.4a Software
Hardware
The hardware configuration for client computers running FieldManager, FieldBook, and FieldBuilder software follows:
- 1-GHz processor
- 512-MB RAM
- 20-GB available hard disk space
- CD-ROM optical drive
- 800x600 pixel resolution monitor
- 101-key standard keyboard
- Mouse or other pointing device
- Network adapter
- Printer
Software
The software configuration for client computers running FieldManager, FieldBook, and FieldBuilder software follows:
- Microsoft® Windows® Vista Business Edition or greater, Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional (with SP2) or Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional (with SP4) Operating System
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or greater
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (Installed automatically; Needed for connecting with FieldNet)
- Sybase SQL Anywhere 10 Runtime, 10.00.01.3415 (included with FieldManager installation)
Note: Microsoft Vista Business or greater Operating System is presently only supported with FieldManager 4.4a

Warning: Data transfer will be affected if your computer's connection speed is slower than 56 Kbps.
Software
The software configuration for client computers running FieldManager software follows:
- Microsoft® Windows® Vista Business Edition or greater, Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional (with SP2) or Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional (with SP4) Operating System
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or greater
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (Installed automatically; Needed for connecting with FieldNet)
- Sybase SQL Anywhere Client, 10.00.01 with build 3415 (if using a Sybase SQL Anywhere database)
- Oracle 10g Client, 10.02.00.03 with 5699495 (if using an Oracle database)
- Oracle ODBC Driver 10.02.00.03 with 5699495 (if using an Oracle database)
Note: Microsoft Vista Business or greater Operating System is presently only supported with FieldManager 4.4a.

The hardware configuration for the FieldManager module's computer on which the handheld devices synchronize FieldPad component's data follows:
Note: The following hardware configuration is the same as that for a client or stand-alone computer running FieldManager software but not synchronizing with a handheld device running FieldPad software.

Software
The software configuration* for the FieldManager module's computer on which the handheld devices synchronize FieldPad component's data follows:
- Microsoft® Windows® Vista Business Edition or greater, Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional (with SP2) or Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional (with SP4) Operating System
- Microsoft® ActiveSync 4.5® is the recommended version of ActiveSync to use with FieldPad. It is available from the Microsoft website. Earlier versions of ActiveSync have known issues that may hinder the proper operation and transfer of data between your FieldManager PC and your PDA Device. (Only needed if synchronizing with a handheld device running FieldPad software.)
- FieldManager software (same version as FieldPad software)
Note: Microsoft Vista Business or greater Operating System is presently only supported with FieldManager 4.4a.
