Info Tech offers flexible work schedules to most employees. And when you are at work, you can probably leave the suit and tie at home. Our employees are encouraged to dress neatly, yet comfortably. This means that denim jeans or your favorite shorts are just fine. If clients are coming by, we may ask for an occasional dress up day. So don't throw away your suit...just put it in the back of your closet. In between all of the work, we also like to have a little fun. Offices and cubicles often reflect the employees who occupy them, giving the impression of a home-away-from-home. Being targeted on a birthday by your co-workers is to be expected, but don't worry, you can keep your decorations up as long as you want. Office luncheons, team retreats and bake sales are common ways for people to meet and mingle. And if all that isn't enough, Info Tech offers competitive salaries, a quarterly discretionary profit sharing program and a comprehensive benefits package.
Holidays, regular days...there is always a reason to have some fun at the office. We celebrate birthdays monthly with a company-wide cake and coffee gathering. Each year, we hold a March of Dimes bake sale on St. Patrick's Day and the quantity and quality of the sweets will amaze you! We have a summer family picnic to cool off during the warm weather months. We kick-off football season with a tailgate party luncheon. Halloween is a big event at Info Tech. Teams often dress up in themes, and office hallway decorations abound. Santa visits Info Tech's kids annually at an afternoon gathering that keeps us all believing. We also have an annual holiday party for adults.
In 2014, Info Tech was asked to serve the signature cocktail at a local charity event. On a spring afternoon, we held a company-wide contest to determine what our signature cocktail should be. There were 17 recipes submitted and this was our winner:
Collaborative Spirits — The Gainesville Regional Cocktail
With a number of product teams working on a variety of products and services, we've probably got a team using whatever technology interests you. Our employees have opportunities to work with a wide variety of up-to-date technologies, and we're constantly adopting new tools when they enable us to engineer effective solutions. Our software development processes are rooted in Agile development principles including scrum, test-driven development, continuous integration, and DevOps. Public key cryptography, web services, relational and NoSQL databases, and HTTP are at the core of most of what we do.
Info Tech offers a generous and competitive benefits package to all eligible employees. All eligible employees qualify for:
Gainesville is a unique place, with the closeness of a small town combined with a thriving tech community. There is always something fun to do and there are many opportunities to give back. Many companies are realizing what Info Tech has known for more than three decades: Gainesville is a great place to grow a high-tech business. Innovation is more than a buzz word here; it can be seen in start-up companies, corporate relocations, business incubators and the overall continued growth of a strong tech sector. Info Tech is part of the Innovation Gainesville initiative and has ties to many colleges at the University of Florida that produce high-tech job candidates, including the College of Computer and Information Science and Engineering and the College of Engineering. The company is a key supporter of the planned Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention in Gainesville. Info Tech has been a sponsor of the Cade Museum Prize for Innovation, a competition that seeks to award and provide capital for early stage products and services that are developing truly innovative ideas. Giving back to the community is vital. Info Tech recently celebrated 35 years in business by asking all employees to donate a day of company time to the non-profit agency of their choice. For more than 25 years, Info Tech has been an active supporter of the March of Dimes, Stop Children's Cancer, and also has a long-term corporate giving relationship with ARC of Alachua, a non-profit organization devoted to serving the needs of developmentally disabled individuals in the Gainesville area. Each year Info Tech employees participate in Thanksgiving food drives and holiday gift drives in their respective communities. Gainesville is also home to abundant opportunities for eco-tourism, fine arts and cultural experiences. Come see why we love living here!
Looking to gain hands-on experience with an innovative software company? Info Tech provides many internship opportunities for students who are interested in enhancing their portfolio while learning valuable career skills. Info Tech strives to maintain a friendly atmosphere that fosters personal and professional growth for all employees. Info Tech's human resources professionals work closely with the University of Florida and Santa Fe College in an effort to reach out to Gainesville's large student population.
